立法院副院長洪秀柱以高民調通過國民黨總統初選以來，藍營內部雜音不斷，甚至有中南部立委因其「一中同表」兩岸政策，考慮退黨參選。

不過，在國民黨主席朱立倫將「九二共識、一中各表」定調為政綱後，洪陣營也表示不會再提「一中同表」，化解黨中央與洪秀柱兩岸政策不一的疑慮，亦展現磨合後的相互理解。

而為防止「反柱人士」於19日全代會上鬧場、破壞團結形象，國民黨15日強勢開鍘，對惡意攻訐、不服從黨指揮的5名從政黨員，祭出開除黨籍處分。朱立倫更放重話說，絕不容許打著藍旗反藍旗。此舉不僅為洪秀柱順利提名掃除障礙，同時也向蠢蠢欲動、打算「跳船」的黨內同志喊話，希望他們切勿恣意妄為。
